As I uncover an artistic voice sitting beneath my Seed-Center, i ask myself; Is this me? Does this fit?
“In epistemology, the correspondence theory of truthstates that the truth or falsity of a statement is determined only by how it relates to the world and whether it accurately describes (i.e., corresponds with) that world.
Correspondence theories claim that true beliefs and true statements correspond to the actual state of affairs. This type of theory attempts to posit a relationship between thoughts or statements on one hand, and things or facts on the other.” -Wikipedia.
Doesn’t this apply to our own knowledge of truth? We find out something new about ourselves, say, that we like mushrooms. Then we wait a bit, not trusting this until it is proven trustworthy, seeing if we like all kinds of mushrooms or if we like mushrooms cooked in any way. If the corresponding facts check out and other things in our lives allow for liking mushrooms, we then decide that we like mushrooms. Its now a fact and will be a part of our identity until we eat a mushroom we dont like and some doubt may be put on this fact.
